Taking photos with a toddler is a new level of difficulty I wasn’t quite prepared for. However, a fall photoshoot was in order, and so the husband and I committed to running like chickens with our heads cut off to take pictures of this little princess.
Trend 1 for a Fall Photoshoot
Orange filters on everything! No one cares that the grass was actually green that day. People want to see ORANGE. Orange outfits, orange leaves, orange pumpkins!
Trend 2
Plaid and jeans! 2021 has been the year of laid back outfits, and nothing says “Fall” like a plaid shirt with cute jeans. The outfit doesn’t need to be glamorous, it just needs to feel warm and cozy! So get your cutest plaid top (or pants) out and take some photos on hay bales, tractors, or just standing somewhere sepia toned like below!
We went to Andrew’s Scenic Acres. It’s the perfect little farm to go to for fall photos. It has tones of gorgeous backdrops (we didn’t even get to half of them). Including pumpkins, tractors, a sand playground, chicken coops, flowers, berry fields, barns, corn station, mini-market, and lots more!
We wanted to take advantage of the great Halloween weather we had that day and made a little day trip to the farm. Oh, and make sure to pack a second pair of tights for your little one, if they end up like mine and splashing right into mud within the first few minutes.
Trend 3
Unique backdrops. If you see a unique backdrop of a building, structure, vehicle, or simply an uncommon element – take a picture! This could be a horse, a cow, a little wooden toddler school, or a cool looking bridge. Now, if you’re attentive unlike me you’ll edit the awkward hand from the edge of the photo, but I run on a toddler schedule, so ain’t nobody got time for that. However, I am lazy, and I can’t be bothered. So, I am just going to enjoy the pictures for what they are.
She looks like a mini influencer already! Jeez child, slow down and stop growing so fast :’) Mama isn’t ready!

So, if you’re looking for a cute place to take some pictures in the GTA that isn’t stupidly crowded, I highly recommend visiting this spot! It’s only 15-20 minutes from Milton, Burlington, and Oakville. A perfect scenic lil’ family farm made for a Fall photoshoot!~
