Easy ways to bring fall home decor to a whole new level! The season of crisp air, golden leaves, crunchy apples, pumpkin pies! Everything and anything fall just brings joy to an otherwise gloomy day. That’s why when it comes to my house, I want it bursting with the fall-atmosphere! However, as a frugal soul, I really hate to spend where it can be helped. So I decided to pull together some ideas of budget-friendly fall home decor items.

Pumpkins
An easy addition throughout the house, which I spread out anywhere and everywhere are dollar store pumpkins. They come in a net with about 5-8 of them, and go well with a tray, on shelves, beside a candle, etc. Mixing them up with some real small pumpkins that they sell at almost any grocery store, really livens up the space and makes the cheap ones look expensive!

Just a few little pumpkins make such a big difference, and cost nearly nothing. Of course you can also get glam pieces like the large wooden pumpkin I have shown below – I really love real pumpkins, but I wanted something to re-use year after year. That’s why if there’s anything 20$ or more, I want to make sure I get years of future use out of them.

Statement Decor
If you want to make bigger statements, large pieces with multiple aspects to them tend to draw the eye, without needing a lot of layering of other items. Centerpieces are easy to get your hands on at Michael’s with their regularly recurring 40% off coupon. The below piece was a gorgeous addition to our table, I loved that it’s low and can be kept during more casual dinner without obscuring guests from seeing one another. I added the walnuts as an extra little touch to fill gaps and give some texture.

Easy Florals
The other amazing addition to our house are floral stems. Now the sunflowers are actually a Michael’s purchase, but the rest of the florals you see in the pictures are all Dollarama. Our house has little farmhouse touches by default in our decor, so adding little sprigs and branches are such a simple way to transform pieces into fall theme.

The below isn’t quite a floral stem, but I saw it at the dollar store, and couldn’t help myself. I spread several of these sweet things above various doors in the house.

Farmhouse Pillows
Lastly, nothing says ‘come and get cozy’ like some throw pillows on a comfy couch. A fall home decor staple is a beige or orange pillow, layered with a plaid one. You can have any other colour variations – green & beige, blue & orange, red & orange, beige & white, etc.

Some links for great finds! Similar to the ones I show above!

Michael’s – perfect for statement pieces, using their coupon!

I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy decor ideas. I will also be sharing my fall bedroom look-book soon, so stay tuned for more fall fun! If you used any of these ideas or have any pictures of how you decided to decorate your place, tag me! I’d love to see them!
Happy decorating!
