Do you love peppermint? Do you love chocolate? Well, then this cocktail is for you!
Every year we invest time into finding a ‘new holiday drink’, but this year we actually found THREE!

As a part of the 12 days of Christmas posts, I am going to be surprising you with them along the journey!

So, there’s a number of alterations you can make to this chocolate martini – first off being if you want to avoid lactose you CAN substitute for oat creamer and there’s barely a difference.
Second, if you don’t have peppermint schnapps on hand, you can also use Crème de Menthe. The difference is also barely noticeable.

However, a few things you won’t want to mess with are: Crème de Cacao – this is essential for that super smooth chocolate taste! AND Vanilla vodka – while growing up Russian made me into a vodka snob and I don’t usually drink Absolut or Smirnoff, I find for mixed drinks it’s actually quite amazing.

Lastly, because I used half-and-half cream (I was out of regular coffee cream) this caused a lot of bubbles to form so it’s not as pretty as I’d usually like. Switching to regular cream will give you that perfect foamy chocolate finish!
So without further adieu, here’s the recipe!
